In a past life, the Hospice complex was two residential flats purchased and converted into to a small three room hospice facility with reception and staff facilities.

With the later purchase of an adjacent property, a new wing was added and the existing facility refurbished. Additional care rooms were added, Lounge area and Reflection Room as well as refurbished staff facilities.

Along with the spatial and services requirements for the facility, the Hospice wished  to ensure a residential feel about the facility. This drove the aesthetics and scale of the redevelopment.
